Relay for Life Another Huge Success in the Walk for Life!

Sunshine and smiling faces was the norm Friday and Saturday (Aug 6th & 7th 2010) at The American Cancer Society Eugene/Springfield's Relay for Life, in Oregon, this year held at Thurston High School Track, due to construction at Lane Community College field where the event is normally held.
This was Springfield City Beat 1080 Internet Radio's TEAM KSS tent site.

I think I had the inside spread out pretty nice, for a tent!
I even broadcast some of the program over night, and tried to capture it for you on video from the laptop but as you see, mostly it streaks, but it was still fun!

Like walking in the dark, seeing the "Angel's Runway" as it's called, which always reminds you of those flown away and those still in need of wings.

I wish you could have heards the Bag Pipes playing for the Luminaries (Surviors who have flown on) but missing that, the Lighthouse stands and lights the way as a reminder for other survivors to keep going, knowing that the light at the end of the tunnel, is the LIGHT OF HOPE FOR A CURE!

(I  wanted to let you hear the bagpipes,

So what happened to my people? All of TEAM KSS was missing in action! Shoot, the Doctor had to stand up and walk for the cause all by his lonesome, but I had fun, it was/is for a good cause and I thought about you... you guys worked hard and the car wash and I found out some of you were even out of town these two days.

Local groups kept the music going through the night!

I give you guys props for the help all of you did, TEAM KSS came through when times were tough and did a great job. I missed you at the walk, that's all, and remind you, there's next year!

Since we started,we're going to keep doing this, cause the more we shout it, the more will listen and one of them brilliant scientist or doctor will get motivated and find a cure and get it done!

Night time walking doesn't stop because it's dark, neither do unique teams.

A big shout out to Les Schwab
They always provide the best breakfasts!

I have to hand had it to them, these people are great. They come in, cook, lay it out and get it done and each year, everyone leaves smiles on their faces, ready to fill their bellies with a good hot breakfast! This I guess is their gift or part of it
Thanks Les Schwab.
Big ups from City Beat, to all of you!

But you know how it be... for us caffine fiends, last thing at night,

First thing in the morning!

I want to say thanks to all the team who participated  at the carwash and helped in raising

($200)two hundred dollars this year!
Hey, don't say is that all? Last year we just has the entry fee, so people, we're advancing,
slowly but surely. Remember, slow and steady wins the race, and we're in this to win!
and we're doing it for LIFE!

When I saw this tent morning across the way, it was touching to read what was written.

Read the signs from of survivor at the Relay for Life

Thanks to ALL and to those I met, it was my pleasure!
See ya next year!

DONT FORGET TO TUNE IN
